Job Title*: Assistant Director, Conference Services/Catering
Pay: $80,000 - $10,000 annually
Location: Kissimmee, FL
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting, communicating, and implementing tactics to achieve the objectives set for the teams, including group food and beverage, meeting room rental, group golf, teambuilding, and other incremental revenues.
• Strategies will include developing an optimal market mix, pricing structure, rooms-to-space guidelines, ancillary spend minimums to guide the group sales team direct sales efforts in maximizing profitability for the resort.
• Accountable for market performance and potential performance as well as budget, forecast, and target goals.
• Successfully manage one of the top three major group markets for the resort.
• Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business into the resort.
• Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
• Travel to industry events.
• Attend daily stand up and business review meetings lead by DOSM.
• Conduct monthly one on ones with Catering Sales and Services Managers.
• Attend and support weekly sales meeting, weekly revenue meeting and weekly marketing meeting.
• Direct and manage all group sales activities to include: initial contract review, monitoring Delphi protocol, pre and post sales reports, travel and sales blitzes, maintaining the needs-dates calendar, group marketing initiatives, promos, emails, website etc.
• Identify and track team training needs and retrain as needed in one-on-one and team situations.
• Identify opportunities to improve skills of sales managers to improve overall Reunion Resort Sales and Food & Beverage Organization.
• Prepare and compile data for the strategic sales plan, comp set and STR Group Analysis
• Assist in forecast preparation.
• Knowledgeable in market changes, new inventory, properties under renovation, etc.
• Adhere to Reunion Resort and Golf Club company procedures and policies
• Completing any other task/duties assigned

• Position requires flexibility in scheduling including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Must have attention to detail, strong ability to multi-task, and time-management skills
• Convention/Catering and leadership experience of at least 5 years is required. Private club/golf industry is a plus.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time
• Must be proficient in Microsoft software. DELPHI experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift at least 15lbs. Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout the day.
• Must be able to work independently or as a team. Must be able to direct and lead a team successfully.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
